Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham
Slow Cooker recipes are definitely in our happy place for during the hectic holiday season. Any time we can avoid losing oven space it makes holiday prep and cooking so much easier.
Hey guys, its Sabrina again from Dinner, then Dessert. I'm sharing one of my favorite ham recipes today because the holidays are about all things impressive and giant platters of ham and turkey and beef are easy ways to feed big crowds!
This Slow Cooker Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham is the perfect recipe for the slow cooker because hams are already cooked and only need to be gently warmed through. With the added brown sugar pineapple glaze you'll have a deliciously tender ham with tons of flavor.
Don't forget to keep your leftover ham for more ham recipes after the holidays. Make the slow cooker do all the heavy lifting!
How to Cook a Ham with Pineapple
You will only need 6-ingredients for this delicious crock pot ham with pineapple recipe – SO EASY!
Ingredients you will need:
- Ham
- Crushed Pineapple
- Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Ground Ginger
Ham is the perfect holiday option as it can be served warm, room temperature or cold too! This is the least fussy part of your holiday meal!
How much ham do i need per person?
We like to estimate about 3/4 pound of ham per person (with the bone in). However, if you have a bunch of hungry boys that eat a ton like I do, you can increase it to 1 pound. You might end up with some leftovers, but that's a good thing! Use 1/2 pound per person with a boneless ham.
What to serve with slow cooker ham with pineapple?
Here are some of my favorite side dishes that go well with this pineapple ham recipe…
- Classic Green Bean Casserole
- 30-Minute Dinner Rolls
- Slow Cooker Hash Brown Casserole
- Instant Pot Corn Pudding
How to store Cooked Ham?
A baked Ham can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Tips:
- It's best to use a large 8-Quart oval slow cooker for this recipe.
- The drier the ham, the better. This helps the glaze stay on.
- Make sure the ham fits into the slow cooker with space between it and the lid.
- For more flavor rub the pineapple ham glaze between the slices gently too.
- If you prefer a crispier ham you can finish it in the oven at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
